Buying a new TV used to mean a big dent in your wallet. No longer! Amazon seems to be forgetting that Black Friday isn’t over yet: the mega-retailer is currently offering a stunning deal on the top-of-the-line Insignia 24-inch HD Smart LED TV – Fire TV Edition. It’s down from $170 to $80. We repeat: it’s only $80! But you’ll need to act fast to prepare yourself for some intimate binge-watching cheaply – these discounts won’t last long.
Picture and sound that outweigh their weight
Even if the price is low, the “wow” factor is high – the Insignia has such a sharp image and such vivid colors as models well above its price point. The sound is also top notch. As a matter of fact, nearly 16,000 Buyers gave this model a perfect five-star rating. “I’m honestly very pleasantly surprised at how much I like this TV,” said one satisfied Amazon shopper. “In terms of clarity, I think (HD) 720p is good enough for this screen size.”
At 24 inches, just the right thing for tight spaces. Says a fan: “I can’t imagine how you can get better sound in such a small TV. Perfect for the kitchen or bedroom… Also pairs well with the Alexa Android app on my smartphone. Nothing to complain about.”
If it’s out there, you can check it out
As a Fire TV Edition, this model lets you stream 4K movies and TV shows from Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, YouTube, Disney+, Prime Video, SlingTV, Paramount+, Peacock and more without a separate streaming box or stick. And we love that Alexa is included in the remote. So if you’re not a fan of endlessly scrolling through a grid of titles (and who is?), you can just say, “Alexa, play A league of its own,’ And voila!
How does it compare to other built-in video streaming TVs? Take LG’s 24-inch HD LED TV – it doesn’t come with video streaming or integrated smart home voice functions, And it’s expensive. Um… hard pass.
Cord cutters unite!
With built-in Wi-Fi, the Insignia Fire TV Edition 24-inch TV lets you break the cord. You won’t experience any lag or latency when streaming HD movies and TV shows either.
“I was very satisfied with the WLAN reception of the built-in Fire TV,” the buyer continues. “It actually works a lot better than the external Fire Sticks with a USB plug-in, for whatever reason. Super handy at campsites with weak wifi or when using my phone’s hotspot.”
This Five Star Fan Agrees: “Excellent TV. The picture quality is great…” It also has three HDMI ports so you can connect a soundbar, video game console or Blu-ray player. You can even surf the web right on the TV.
At just $80 (was $170), this premium set is almost an impulse buy. “Great value for money,” said Captain Obvious (aka a happy Amazon shopper).
And if the 24-inch model is too small for your viewing pleasure, you might want to consider the 39-inch Insignia TV. There’s a 30% discount now, which isn’t too shabby for a smart TV. It has all the same great features as the 24-inch model, but with 15-inch more fun.
Of course, if you have Amazon Prime, you get free shipping. Not a member yet? No problem. You can sign up for your free 30-day trial here. (And by the way, those without Prime still get free shipping on orders $25 or more.)
