This beast of a system packs 11 speakers into the soundbar alone, but it also comes with wireless satellite speakers and a wireless subwoofer. This initial setup is easy thanks to an included quick start guide, but you may need to venture online to find out the different modes and functions of the remote.
Speaking of features, there are two standout features. First, Polk’s VoiceAdjust amplifies dialogue so you can actually hear what’s being said, and there are multiple levels you can use to adjust it to suit your hearing.
Second, MagniFi supports Dolby Atmos. So if you’re watching a movie or TV show that supports this as well, prepare for sound that positively envelops you. That’s thanks to the upward-firing speakers built into the soundbar And the satellites. Of course, even quiet 5.1 surround content sounds amazing on this thing; Atmos just takes it to the next level.
I also appreciate that MagniFi doesn’t require another app to study or an account to sign up for. (Thanks, Polk!) Once you plug it into your existing Amazon, Apple, or Google ecosystem, you’re done.
